About Methods Projects
Inductively Coupled Plasma Emission Spectroscopy or ICP-OES represents an analytical technique that helps us better to determine the amount of each specific element in a sample. The ICP-OES characterization method is based on the theory that ions and atoms absorb energy in order to move electrons to an excited state. The source of energy in ICP-OES is the heat that comes from an argon plasma operating at 10,000 Kelvin. At TH Re-MINING we perform the ICP-OES method to analyze samples in various fields to determine the materials' chemical composition and also to assess the purification of compounds. By doing so, we contribute to a better knowledge of metals, their discovery, and extraction, as well as purification processes. Using the ICP-OES principle, TH Re-MINING analyzes geological, mining, and rare earth elements. By doing so, we perform rock analysis and mining purity control.
The ICP-OES Spectrometer used analytical determination of elements' amount in a sample.
